So, I’m finally updating again. The snow has melted and London is back to its normal, wet and rainy self.
I’ve been getting up to very little lately, actually. A fact that I’m not all too proud of. I’ve been spending a lot of time in rather than going out. Sure, I’ve been going out, but not very often. The other night we took the Tube to Camden Town and went to a pub in that area with live music and it was a pretty good time, but by the time 11:00 rolled around, I was ready to go. I am a bit of a stick in the mud, I realize, but its just the way I am. I’m a very boring person, actually.
The next day, we went to Portabello Market, which was really awesome. Tons of shops for miles and miles, and all of them were awesome. I got the most badass jacket there, and I forced myself to try German food (’cause they had a cart) and it turns out that I, in fact, LOVE the stuff. Frankfurters are absolutley godly. Unfortunatly, I doubt I’ll find anything like it back in the ‘States, so I’ll fill up on them now. After we were done with the market, we went to Palace to plan out our trips across Europe, and we ended up booking a trip to Barcelona for under £100, which is pretty impressive, as the costs include the flight, hostel and transportation to/from the airports. We’re also planning a trip to Ireland, but none of that is booked yet. Its my job to set up the Germany trip, so I’ll get around to that by the time the week is out.
Other than that, classes are excellent (though i have to admit that the Environment one is INCREDIBLY boring. not because the subject, but because the guy goes on and on and on about it), and so far, I’m keeing up on all my studies. I actually will probably run to the Library at some point tonight to grab some reading I need to do for History.
Other than that, I really really miss the US. How is it holding up over there?
(ps. don’t go to the Globe. It’s boring as all hell)
